Algeria–Mauritania

Spanning for 461 km, the Algeria–Mauritania boundary follows a geodesic line that connects the tripoint with Mali in the south to the tripoint with Western Sahara in the north. The border was first established by French authorities during the colonial era and was agreed upon and demarcated in the 1980s by an Algerian–Mauritanian mixed commission. There are no disputes regarding the border, and Algeria and Mauritania have enjoyed stable relations in recent years.
