Bosnia & Herzegovina–Croatia

The maritime boundary between Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia was established through their 1991 Treaty on the State Border, which also delimited their land frontier based on the boundaries in place before the dissolution of Yugoslavia. The maritime boundary follows an undefined equidistance line between the two States for approximately eight nautical miles. The territorial sea of Bosnia & Herzegovina is completely enclaved within Croatia’s internal waters. Neither State has ratified the Agreement, and there are questions of territorial sovereignty and access to the high seas that will likely need to be answered before it officially enters into force.
