Indonesia–Vietnam
Indonesia and Vietnam share a 251 nautical mile-long maritime boundary in the southwestern portion of the South China Sea. Its eastern and western terminal points are tripoints with Malaysia. The continental shelf boundary between Indonesia and Vietnam was defined by an agreement that was reached in 2003, following several decades of debate over which delimitation methods should be used. The exclusive economic zone boundary, which also faced years of challenging negotiations, was delimited in 2022, though the text of the Agreement has yet to be ratified by either State.
