Bulgaria–Türkiye

The Black Sea maritime boundary between Bulgaria and Türkiye was established through a bilateral agreement that was reached in 1997 and entered into force on 4 November 1998. The marine frontier was developed as an all-purpose boundary dividing the overlapping exclusive economic zone and continental shelf entitlements of the Parties. The boundary extends in a northeasterly direction for 168 nautical miles from the land boundary terminus to the middle of the Black Sea.
