The maritime boundary dividing the overlapping Exclusive Economic Zone entitlements of the Comoros and Tanzania was established in a 2011 bilateral Agreement, which follows a series of geodesic lines that run in a generally south to north direction for approximately 137 M. The agreement was based on an application of the equidistance methodology.
