Micronesia–Palau

The maritime boundary between Micronesia and Palau extends for 403 nautical miles in a northwesterly direction in the Pacific Ocean, north of the island of New Guinea. The boundary, which was defined using the principal of equidistance, has a starting point and termination point that are located at the Parties’ overlapping two hundred nautical mile limits. The line is composed of 51 points that are interconnected by geodesic line segments.

The boundary divides the continental shelves and exclusive economic zones of the two island nations and was established by agreement in 2006. The ratification process was completed in 2016.
