India–Maldives
The maritime boundary between India and Maldives was delimited through a bilateral agreement that was signed on 28 December 1976 and entered into force on 8 June 1978. The line extends for 545 nautical miles and delimits the Parties’ exclusive economic zones. The boundary was established based on a modified version of the equidistance line.
