Belgium–Netherlands

The maritime boundary between Belgium and the Netherlands in the North Sea was delimited in 1996 by virtue of two simultaneous Treaties: one for the territorial sea and another for the continental shelf. The territorial sea boundary is just over 15 nautical miles in length and was delimited using a simplified version of the equidistance line. The continental shelf boundary is 28 nautical miles long and was delimited using a modified version of the equidistance line. The boundary extends seaward in a northwesterly direction for a total of 43 nautical miles, terminating at the tripoint with the United Kingdom.
