In 2007, Cyprus and Lebanon signed a treaty agreeing to an equidistance maritime boundary. The Agreement was not ratified by Lebanon and has not entered into force. The maritime boundary begins south of the equidistance determined tripoint with Syria and ends north of the equidistance determined tripoint with Israel.
