Bahrain–Iran

The maritime boundary between Bahrain and Iran was established in 1971. It is a four point boundary that extends from the tripoint with Qatar in the south to the tripoint with Saudi Arabia in the north. It divides the States’ overlapping continental shelf entitlements and institutes rules for oil exploration near the boundary.
